Dr. T's Summer Water Challenge
It occurs to me that my patients are not Consuming their daily intake of water. Summer is here… and with it, summer activities, warmer temperatures and an increased risk for dehydration. So I want to challenge my patients to form a healthy habit of hydrating properly.

I challenge my patients to incorporate the daily quota of water that their body needs each day. At your next appointment, take a pamphlet and follow the directions to start the challenge this summer. Return the pamphlet with the back filled out so I can be aware of your baseline. Inform me of your progress, difficulties and improvements along the way. It's the little lifestyle changes today that will improve your future tomorrow!
Why is water so important?
To keep it simple water is used by the body to complete the functions of removing toxins from the body, normal cell functions, supports healing, digestive and elimination processes. It is vital to life. It is my goal to not only treat my patients with the best care but to also educate on how to protect and strengthen their bodies for life.
What is Water Memory?
Water has the ability to hold an imprint or “memory” of substances that have been exposed or dissolved in it. Some researchers believe that this “memory” even holds true after high dilution even to the point of no molecule remains in the water itself.
Don’t underestimate the value of proper water consumption on your bodies health!
On the first day.....
take note of your liquid intake for the entire day. Mark all liquids (water, soda, coffee, tea, etc..) and the amount. Use the water intake calculation to find the ounces of water for your body weight. Begin adding the water into your regimen and note how much you are drinking daily. Next.. Continue for LIFE.
Your general water requirements can be determined using your current body weight. Most people need to drink roughly half of their weight (in pounds) in ounces. For example, a 200-pound adult needs approximately 100 ounces of water each day.
Of course, your water needs will increase with any physical activity. So you’ll need to add 12 ounces of water for every 30 minutes of daily activity.
These are my favorite recipes. One is a flavored water and the other is a boost to hydrate and add minerals. Enjoy!

More to consider on the importance of Water !!!
Dr. Emoto discovered that molecules of water are affected by our thoughts, words and feelings. Dr. Emoto wrote the book The Hidden Messages in Water , based on his research, he was a guest speaker at Palmer College of Chiropractic some years back .
Take a look below at some of the crystals formed by words. Compare how kind words formed beautiful crystals and unkind words resulted in poorly formed crystals. Water is life, it is indeed a blessing and a tool of healing . Dr. Hagen
TO THE LEFT:
Water can pick up the vibrations as a result of certain emotions and change its structure accordingly. For instance, when exposed to “Hope” then freezing the water sample, you will observe the creation of beautiful symmetry in the crystals.
How Music Affects Water?
Dr. Emoto also studied how sound affects water. The Emoto music studies demonstrate how certain types of sound, like classical music, generate beautiful crystalline patterns, while heavy metal music, generate ugly and distorted crystalline formations. In the images below you see the crystalline formation resulting from water being exposed to Mozart’s Symphony No. 40 and then in contrast what the water crystal image looks like after listening to heavy metal music.
